Give a homestead claim on Mars

You pay $39 today and get a printable gift certificate by email straight away. They redeem the code, choose their own lot in Founding Tract One, and the registry issues the 19-document claim file in their name. Nothing more for them to pay.

1Who is it for?

Their name goes on the certificate. They add their own legal name and signature when they redeem.

We email them the code and your note. Leave it blank to hand over the printed certificate yourself.

The PDF certificate is instant, so a gift bought on Christmas Eve still works. For the printed file, the claim is filed when they redeem, then it is put together by hand: order by December 8 and ask them to redeem soon after for the best chance of US delivery before Christmas.

Gift questions

Questions about gift claims

Can I give a claim to a child?

Yes, with an adult as the claimant. Redeeming needs someone 18 or older: a parent or guardian chooses the lot, adds their own legal name and signature, and is the claimant of record. Tick "It's for someone under 18" above and the certificate carries a dedication to the child. The claim file includes an Assignment of Claim Rights, which can pass the claim record to them later; write to the registry to record it.

When does the certificate arrive?

As soon as the payment clears, usually within a minute. It comes by email as a PDF and you can also download it from the confirmation page, so it works as a last-minute gift.

What if they never redeem it?

The code does not expire. Until it is redeemed, you can ask for a full refund within 30 days of purchase; see the refund policy.

Do they choose their own lot?

Yes. When they redeem, they pick any open 40-acre lot in Founding Tract One, add their details and signature, and the claim file is issued in their name. There is nothing more to pay.

How does the printed file work with a gift?

If you add it, the recipient gives a mailing address when they redeem, and the file is put together by hand and mailed. For the best chance of US delivery before the holidays, order early and ask them to redeem soon after. We can't promise a delivery date.

Does the gift give them title to land on Mars?

No. No one can sell title to land on Mars, and no title to land is conveyed. It is a documented claim with the Red Homestead registry and a collectible: a 19-document claim file in their name and a dated listing on the public roll. It is not an investment.

Important legal disclaimer

No title to land is conveyed. The 1967 Outer Space Treaty (Art. II) bars national appropriation of celestial bodies, and no sovereign, court, or land registry currently has jurisdiction to grant or enforce private title to land on the Moon, Mars, or any celestial body. Red Homestead does not and cannot convey legal ownership or any presently-enforceable property right.

What you purchase. A claim-documentation and registry service — the preparation, public publication, opposition-period adjudication, and continuous-possession recordkeeping of a good-faith homestead claim — together with a collectible certificate. It is a record of your claim and intent, not a title.

Not an investment; not a security. Your payment is not an investment of money in a common enterprise and carries no expectation of profit from our efforts. We make no representation that a claim can be resold or will be worth money. The claim is not offered as a security and is not registered with the SEC, any state securities regulator, or any other authority.

No guarantee of recognition; no sovereignty; not legal advice. We model the process on frameworks in which documented good-faith possession was sometimes later recognized, but we do not guarantee any authority will ever recognize your claim. No Red Homestead claim asserts national sovereignty. Nothing here is legal, tax, or financial advice.
